ChangeCamp(Cross-posted from original sent by Ian Capstick to all EventBrite attendees.)
ChangeCamp Ottawa participants,
A quick call out for some specialized help we need on Saturday. We are holding one last ChangeCamp meeting at City Hall on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. for 20 ChangeCamp participants who would like to help run the event.
We need help with:
Registration/Set-Up Team: five participants to assist with registration (arrival Saturday at 7:30 a.m.)
Meals Team: four people are needed to help set up the food at lunch
Tech Team: six or more people to help ensure the Wiki is up-to-date; upload videos to YouTube and help trouble shoot any WiFi problems
Video Crew: we have four Flip cameras, we need participants to record images during the day and encourage people to use the EventBot on site.
On Thursday we will have a short meeting to talk about the volunteer roles. To become a changeCamp volunteer - and be one of the only people to get a ChangeCamp tshirt - please attend the Thursday 6:00 p.m. meeting at City Hall at the info desk - no RSVP required.
Thanks.
PS. We are using the hashtag #cco09 on Twitter and the tag cco09 on other social media sites to help track our conversations. In addition to Pathable and EventBrite, using that tag/hashtag is another good way to find us and get in contact with us.
If we can't make the meeting on Thursday do you still want our name for volunteering?
Sure Rebecca. The volunteers will be gathering the day of, before the event.
I can't make the meeting tonight, either. But I can help out with stuff if you don't get enough volunteers tonight (although I wouldn't volunteer me for tech troubleshooting if I were you).
I could be on the team for lunch set up or could help with youtube loading...just may not have a good computer with me.
I could help out with the wifi. My day job actually revolves around development wifi/hotspot software.
Thanks to all the volunteers - things really went smoothly thanks to your help. A particular shout out to the wiki gardeners who got the grid up and updated at record speed, despite the balky changecamp.ca wiki platform.
